Everest Base Camp Trek – 15 Days is the most balanced and proven itinerary to reach EBC comfortably. It includes two structured acclimatization days and a carefully planned ascent profile, improving your chances of a successful trek while keeping the experience enjoyable.

The route follows the legendary Khumbu trail: Lukla → Phakding → Namche Bazaar → Tengboche → Dingboche → Lobuche → Gorak Shep → Everest Base Camp, with the iconic sunrise climb to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for the best close-range panorama of Everest.

Highlights of This Trek

  • Best acclimatization profile (Namche + Dingboche) for safety and comfort
  • Everest Base Camp (5,364m) + Kala Patthar (5,545m) viewpoint
  • Sherpa culture, monasteries, and Sagarmatha National Park landscapes
  • Tea-house trekking with experienced, licensed guides and daily health monitoring

Why Choose This 15-Day Version

Many itineraries are shortened and push altitude too fast. This 15-day plan adds smart acclimatization and a contingency day, reducing stress and giving you more time for views, rest, and recovery.

If you want the classic EBC experience with the best safety margin—this is the itinerary you should choose.

Highlights of Why Choose This 15-Day Version

  • Safer ascent = higher success rate and better sleep at altitude
  • Balanced daily distances to avoid exhaustion and injury
  • Buffer day for Lukla flight delays (common in peak seasons)

Fitness & Preparation

You don’t need mountaineering experience, but you do need good basic fitness. Expect 5–7 hours of walking on most trekking days with gradual climbs and descents.

A simple 4–6 week training plan (walking, stairs/hills, and light strength) will make your trek far more enjoyable.

Highlights of Fitness & Preparation

  • Train: 4–5 days/week walking + stairs/hills; add leg/core strength
  • Pack light but warm—nights at altitude can be cold even in peak season
  • Hydrate, walk steady, and follow your guide’s acclimatization advice
